Our Values

Various aspects of church life change from time to time, however the values that drive the church and shape its expression, will rarely change. These values are neither to be contrasted with our statements of faith or seen as reinterpreting them. Instead, they are the way we give practical expression to what we believe. They flow out of our beliefs and they filter all we seek to do.

Dependence on God …

In everything we rely completely on God’s grace, his revealed will in the Bible and the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore we are a people of prayer.
John 15:5 … “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Relationships …

As God’s covenant community we strive to maintain healthy relationships lived in the bond of mutual love.
1Pet. 4:8 … Above all, love each other deeply.

Every member in ministry …

In the body of Christ every member serves according to their gifts which are discovered and used.
1Cor. 12:27 … Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it

Cultural relevance …

We aim to make God’s word and church relevant to this current generation of his people.
Matt. 28:18-20 … go and make disciples of all nations..

Compassion for the unsaved …

People without Christ matter to God and they matter to us too.
Matt. 9:36 -39 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. “… as you go.

Innovative …

We are always learning and growing and seeking to apply new methods that will help further the kingdom.
1Cor. 9:19-22 Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.

Fruitfulness …

In keeping with God’s promise we look for results and to do those things that will be most fruitful in the kingdom.
John 15:1 -8 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful….. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
